Metabolic Typing Nutrition Program

By eating a diet that is right for your unique body, you will immediately notice an improvement in energy and well-being. However, if you have other health issues, your Certified Metabolic Typing Advisor will suggest additional diagnostic tests (see section below) to uncover the root cause of your symptoms.

The Metabolic Typing Test

This is an online questionnaire created and patented by William Wolcott, the “father” of Metabolic Typing. It contains 150 questions focused on your individual diet, physical, and psychological traits. You will be given a web link to do the test. The test will determine your Metabolic Type as well as the specific foods and nutrients ideal for your body.

Supplements Recommendations

Like your food, the supplements will also have to match your unique metabolic makeup. When used in conjunction with the appropriate diet, they will expedite the process of bringing your body back to balance. Ultra Life Inc. is the provider of supplements that support specific metabolism. 

Lifestyle Recommendations

How you live is as important as what you eat. It doesn’t make sense to put all that effort into eating well and taking the right supplements if you’re not living a healthy lifestyle. The program will address lifestyle factors such as exercise and stress reduction.

You will set achievable health goals, gain cooking tips and recipes, and discover how to eat for your Metabolic Type when you are at home, in a restaurant, or on the road and on the go. Through the process you will discover that your food cravings dissolve, that simple lifestyle changes are possible, that your state of mind can be one of calm and peace instead of stress and anxiety, and that the awareness you bring to your eating and your body leads to spillover improvements in your life from personal relationships to communication.

All consultations are conducted over the phone/Skype/email. You get unlimited support during business hours throughout your 3-month program. The cost is $635. Supplements, when necessary, are at your expense.

Individual Diagnostic Tests

Each test kit that you receive comes with instructions on how to obtain the relevant blood, saliva, stool, urine, or hair samples. With the exception of blood tests, all other tests can be done at the convenience of your home or office. 

The lab fee is paid directly to the lab when you mail in your test kit. If you are not in the Metabolic Typing Nutrition Program and would like to do any of the following tests, there is a $95 consultation fee to go over each test report.

The following are some of the more important diagnostic tests:

Mediator Release Test (MRT) is a highly accurate food sensitivity test that measures mediators released from the white blood cells. The blood test covers 150 foods and food chemicals. Signet Diagnostic charges a lab fee of $295.

Functional Adrenal Stress Profile (#205) is a saliva test that indicates the health of the adrenal glands and the immune system. The test measures cortisol, the stress hormone, and various sex hormones. BioHealth Laboratories charges a lab fee of $176.

Metabolic Assessment Profile (#101) is a urine test that measures how well you are digesting and absorbing protein, the level of oxidative stress in the body, and the liver’s detoxification function. BioHealth Laboratories charges a lab fee of $132.

Mucosal Barrier Function Screen (#304) is a saliva test that measures the degree of intestinal permeability or “leaky gut”, your immune system response to combined dietary proteins  (wheat, corn, soy, cow’s milk, and egg), aerobic bacteria, anaerobic bacteria, and Candida yeast. BioHealth Laboratories charges a lab fee of $250.

GI Pathogen Screen With H. Pylori Antigen (#401H) is a stool test for a comprehensive analysis of the intestinal microflora. The test detects the presence of ova and parasites, bacteria, funghi (including yeasts), and occult blood. BioHealth Laboratories charges a lab fee of $267.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) is a test to measure your nutritional status and toxic metal accumulation in the body. Trace Elements, Inc. charges a lab fee of $46.
